Our tailoring collection is structured into three distinct categories. Our complete suits are offered in a classic wool twill. For greater flexibility, our mix and match tailoring program allows jackets and trousers to be purchased separately, and is available in both high twist wool and wool/linen fabrics. Completing the collection are our sport coats in summer tweed, designed to pair effortlessly with a wide range of Berg & Berg trousers and denim, making them versatile additions to a well rounded wardrobe.

BIELLA (IT): WOOL TWILL

Our classic wool twill is woven by one of Italy’s most respected mills and represents the kind of versatile suiting cloth that has been a cornerstone of tailored wardrobes for generations.

Woven in a medium weight twill construction, it offers a smooth hand, elegant drape, and a subtle richness of surface. Compared to our high twist wool and wool/linen fabrics, it has slightly more lustre, lending the cloth depth and refinement without appearing shiny. The result is a fabric that feels equally appropriate in formal and more relaxed settings.

BIELLA (IT): SUMMER TWEED

Our summer tweeds are woven in Italy from a blend of linen and cotton, offering a warm weather alternative to traditional tweed while retaining many of the qualities that make the cloth so enduringly appealing.

Rather than prioritising extreme lightness, these fabrics are woven with enough body to drape well and hold their shape, creating jackets with substance and character. The blend of linen and cotton provides texture and breathability, while the mélange yarns and heathered colour palette give the cloth depth and visual richness reminiscent of classic country tweeds.

YORKSHIRE (UK): HIGH TWIST WOOL

Our high twist wool is woven in Yorkshire by a mill that has been in continuous operation since the early 1900s and is also responsible for the classic English flannels found in our autumn and winter collections.

Spun from tightly twisted yarns and woven with an open construction, this cloth combines seemingly opposing qualities. The high twist yarns create a fabric with excellent resilience and natural crease resistance, while the open weave allows air to circulate freely, making it particularly comfortable in warmer temperatures. The result is a wool that feels crisp and dry to the touch, drapes cleanly, and remains comfortable throughout spring and summer. A longstanding favourite in classic tailoring, high twist wool is valued for its versatility and practicality. It is a fabric that performs as well during daily wear as it does while travelling.

YORKSHIRE(UK): WOOL/LINEN

Our wool and linen fabric combines two fibres whose qualities complement one another well. The linen brings lightness, texture, and breathability, while the wool adds body and drape.

Unlike many summer fabrics that can feel overly light or lack structure, this cloth retains enough substance to drape cleanly and maintain the shape of the garment. The wool softens linen’s tendency to crease, while the linen lends the fabric a dry, airy handle that is particularly comfortable in warmer weather.

The result is a cloth that offers the ease and comfort expected of summer tailoring without sacrificing the elegance and presence associated with more substantial fabrics. Versatile and easy to wear, it is equally suited to a complete suit or as separate pieces paired with more casual garments throughout the spring and summer months.
